Judge Adams Joins Dannelly Elementary School for Read Across America Week

U.S. Magistrate Judge Jerusha T. Adams, for a second year, participated in Dannelly Elementary School's virtual Read Across America Week that began on February 28, 2022.

The Read Across America Week is a collaborative effort between Dannelly Elementary Library Media Specialist and Dannelly Elementary teachers to promote the importance of reading, character building and diversity.

Judge Adams read two books and a collection of poems to six kindergarten classes.  The selected books were Hair Love, by Matthew A. Cherry, Go, Dog. Go!, by P.D. Eastman, and Where the Sidewalk Ends, by Shel Silverstein.

Judge Adams virtually welcomed the students into her chambers and displayed each book on the screen for the students to follow along.  The students were very enthusiastic and attentive.  Judge Adams enjoyed participating in the program and looks forward to engaging with the students again next year.
