Former AUSA and Students Tour 2FMJ and MGM Area
On Friday May 26 2017, the Alabama Middle District hosted former Oregon assistant U.S. Attorney Ron Silver and a group of students who were on their civil rights tour of Montgomery and surrounding areas.
The group viewed a video regarding Judge Frank M. Johnson Jr and also Judge Myron Thompson’s “Pathways to the Bench.” Judge Susan Russ Walker spent time speaking with the students, and answering their questions, before allowing Mr. Ron Silver to spend some time discussing his prior work here as a special AUSA and also some of the highlights of our court’s history in terms of civil rights.
