BEAR Exploration Tours ALMD

On Friday, March 1, the Alabama Middle District hosted Bear Exploration Center’s entire fifth grade class for an extended program. A little over 100 students and teachers joined ALMD staff and other court officers in our historic 2FMJ.  Four of our law clerks spoke with the students about their respective roles in chambers, how they came to be law clerks, and what tips they might share with the fifth graders regarding their own academic plans. Judge Susan Russ Walker spoke with the students, and she was joined by the US Attorney and the US Marshall. The students ate lunch in the Jury Assembly Room with the staff members, who spent more time talking with the students and answered more questions.
