Notwithstanding the federal government shutdown that commenced at midnight on October 1, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama remains open and fully operational at this time. All hearings and trials will proceed as scheduled. All jurors summoned should appear at the date and time directed in their summons. Filing activities will continue to be fully supported by the Clerk’s Office, both electronically and in person. We do not anticipate any operational changes prior to October 17, 2025, at the earliest.
