Technology and Training

The United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama is committed to providing an audio/visual environment which meets the needs of the bar and public by integrating exceptional audio, visual and presentation technologies to improve courtroom efficiency. All district judge courtrooms are equipped with technologically advanced audio/visual equipment.

Should you need to use any of our courtroom technology, notification is due to the Courtroom Deputy (CRD) no later than 5 working days prior to the day of the hearing. Use this technology request form, and send it to the CRD.

Please be advised that the Court's equipment also allows users to use their own laptop computers to present evidence. Users, however, must provide their own technical assistance in preparing such presentations. The Court will attempt to assist with troubleshooting compatibility issues arising from equipment (e.g. laptops, touchpads) not supplied by the Court; training on the usage of the Court's equipment is essential for us to properly help you.
